A partnership first approach 👏

There will always be, in every market, established technology players who dominate and claim superiority and market share. But in reality, we know from first-hand experience that this doesn’t always guarantee success for your firm, or deliver solutions that are flexible enough to fit your firm’s purpose and over time continue to align to ensure costs and the relationship remains optimal.

We also understand, to be fair, that working with smaller Fintech’s carries risk consideration. There’s a trade-off by working with smaller organisations from a size perspective, with capital adequacy, risk management and resource coverage all very important factors – we know there can be procurement hurdles to address and we fully support the need to ensure alignment at multiple levels.

A partnership mindset

At Grath, we consider one of the most important factors of the relationship to be our partnership mentality and alongside our delivery of optimal, flexible solutions, and pricing. Time does not erode the value of our solutions and customer interaction – this is because customer retention and satisfaction is imperative and priority throughout the lifecycle of the relationship.

It is however, often the case that customers do approach us having reached an impasse with current suppliers, to assess how we can meet the challenges they face with incumbent solutions. Some of the areas we see from these interactions are:

  • Cost: Non transparent, rising over time, hidden costs for areas such as hosting or archive/data storage etc.
  • Resilience: Solutions are complex, misunderstood and take too long to embed, never fully crystallising their envisaged benefit.
  • Efficiency and Manual Controls: Excessive man hours and layering of added manual process to compensate for rigid technology or gaps in solutions.
  • Change Constraints: Inflexible and complex solutions from existing suppliers resulting in rising costs to add modules or inability to make simple changes.
  • Audit Qualification: Ongoing challenges and repeat issues found in audit findings and remediation activity is challenging to manage.
  • Relationship and Support: Clients indicate that service post sale from existing suppliers deteriorates – for e.g., High turnover of supplier employees and priorities misaligned.
  • Governance and MI reporting: Basic reporting is still compiled manually through lack of provision or inflexibility from existing suppliers.

A forward-thinking approach

Grath set out to be different – for us our ethos is engrained with rich functionality, high quality service, and flexibility. We always aim to deliver a first-class service and solutions – it’s not just about us delivering and maintaining optimal technology – this should be about optimising the capacity and capabilities of the buyer. We are here to enhance the industry, support our clients to evolve with resilient and state-of-the-art solutions to ensure good customer outcomes, mitigate risk of harm, and improve investor confidence in a well-functioning market and industry.

At Grath we’ve purpose built our cloud-based technology platform to meet industry needs (the founding and senior team have all held senior roles within the business that gives us this perspective). Our proprietary Regtech platform is so flexible that it supports (at no extra cost) multiple legal entities and business models, with specific GRC utilisation models that work across all 3 lines of defence. It also comes with specialised reconciliation solutions that underpin and enable compliance to areas such as CASS and Safeguarding, Custody and Financial/Regulatory integrity validation.

Stronger together

Our platform can be linked via API or sFTP or used as a web-enabled user interface and is offered with no hidden costs, a full document storage repository and no archiving or data storage costs.

The user experience, simplicity, and resilience of Grath enables our clients to meet their needs and avoid the challenges from having adopted rigid solutions from other providers that haven’t lived up to expectations and require additional (often manual) processes being layered over it to make the incumbent fit with existing or legacy products and processes.

Grath seeks to raise your standards, optimise your costs, and revolutionise your capabilities to further enable growth and competition and optimise costs in an environment of tightening budgets and fair value. Our own technology cost is transparent and based on a SaaS model. We also support firms to embed flexible, simple, and intuitive automation that in turn also drives economies of scale to support overarching cost reduction strategies.

So, if you previously chose a market leader with ‘best of breed’ solutions, but now find it’s not the reality you experience, consider partnering with a team of peers and people whose mission is to support the industry we came from; to improve, enhance, and evolve for the next generation and beyond.

Undertaking a migration or change can be a daunting prospect, but fear not – we understand what’s at stake and know what needs to be done. Grath has been through this many times (as buyers as well as a software provider). We have a proprietary onboarding approach and process, designed to rapidly propel you to business readiness and full capability. Your success and satisfaction is how we measure ourselves and you can feel confident that you’re in capable hands with the Grath team.

Customer service is not a buzz word and sales tool for Grath, it’s a reality and in every fibre of what we do. We’ve set out to ensure our solutions are perfectly formed and we know you’ll love working with us as your trusted partner.
